Wicktorya Louise Benedict, age 90, of Union, Oregon died March 21, 2008 at a local care facility. There will be no public services but those who wish may contribute to St. Jude's Children's Hospital. Everyone is invited to sign the on-line guest book at www.danielsknopp.com.
Mrs. Benedict (Vicky) was born on January 1, 1918, the daughter of Henry and Sophie Patrick in St. Louis, Missouri. She married Benjamin S. Benedict, a United States Navy retiree, on June 8, 1948 in Honolulu, Hawaii. They owned a ranch at Francois Lake, B.C., until moving to Cove, Oregon in 1980. In 1992 they moved to Union, Oregon. She loved her family, crocheting and cooking.
Survivors include her husband Benjamin S. Benedict, Sr. of Union; her sons, Benjamin Benedict, Jr. of Ogden, Utah, Henry Benedict of Cove, Oregon and Ralph Benedict of Union; 11 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; brothers, Gene Patrick and Eddy Patrick, both of St. Louis, Missouri.
