He grew up in Chilliwack and worked at Cannor Nursery for 25 yrs, and in 1989 came to Burns Lake to help out Uncle Nev run his farm. He worked as a cook at Broman Lake Restaurant and then decided to open his own restaurant in Topley {Uncle Bills Diner}. He also logged for a bit with Ralph Johnson, and then he started as a night watchman at Decker Lake Sawmill for 10 years. Finally, after retirement, he decided to build a huge greenhouse and sell plants every spring. Everyone knew him for his great plants. He loved fishing, camping & exploring places for Sunday drives.

The family would like to thank Burns Lake Hospital for the wonderful nurses.
