July 19, 1942 - November 2, 2020
With heavy hearts the family of Yvonne would like to announce her passing, on November 2nd, 2020 in Burns Lake, BC.
Yvonne was born to Marcel & Winnifred Schmit on July 19th, 1942 in Dumas, Sask. She grew up on a small farm and found her love of horses, that lasted a life time. On October 10th, 1962 she married the love of her life Lloyd Havens.
She then relocated with him back to Burns Lake, BC. They then welcomed their daughter Bev, son Robbie and son Lee. As the children grew older, she found herself working as a teacher aid at the former WKE. Later on she worked at Rexall, and the Bargain Shop. She and Lloyd eventually opened a bottle depot in their garage that lasted for many years.
Yvonne's passions were reading, writings, crocheting, fishing and hunting. But mostly her passion was spending time making memories with her family and friends. She was often called a second mom to her children's friends.
Through out her 58 loving years with Lloyd she watched her family grow, making beautiful memories that we will hold dearly in our hearts till the end of time. She always said she was proud to be a truckers wife.
Yvonne was survived by husband Lloyd, daughter Bev (Brian), son Lee (Crystal). Grandchildren Amanda (Rene), Darryl, Samantha (Travis), Jeremy, Tyler (Austin), Brandon. Great grandchildren Alyssia, Karsyn, Morgan, Olivia, Jackson. Sisters Lilian, Margery, brother Albert. And many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her son Robbie, and her parents Marcel and Winnifred.
We would love to thank the nurses, doctors and hospital staff for all their kindness during Yvonne's stay at the hospital.
