Enjoying the lake like everyone else

This is a letter to the people or person along Tchesinkut Lake Road who on May Long weekend found it was necessary to call the police on me, one person, innocently enjoying a fire and peace and quiet. Yes, I had my small R.V. and yes I was planning to camp there. There is no sign saying I cannot and since there were no other people there I felt I was alright to do so. I have been going to that spot for more than 40 years, sometimes camping, no police involved. I am not sure what threat you think I posed or what you told the RCMP to get them out there.

Don't you think that the RCMP have better things to do than give what was essentially a camping lesson about proper fire care and clean up. In fact I spent 20 minutes cleaning up from whoever was there before me. I was not bothering anyone.

Please in future just enjoy your little piece of lakefront paradise and remember that not everyone is lucky enough to have a private beach.
