I don’t usually make public comments on town issues, but this downtown parking hoopla has me furious. I’m reminded of the numerous ads trying to offer incentives for people to shop local, then bitch when they show up because they park in the wrong area.
Nothing nicer than parking and getting the stink eye from a shop owner because you are parked in their alleged parking area. It actually happened. I don’t care what they say, if you are parked downtown you are doing some sort of business downtown and spending money. Isn’t that what everyone is pushing for?
So I have the perfect solution to this horrible problem - let’s not shop downtown, go to coffee shops, eye appointments, lawyer appointments, real estate, etc. Then there won’t be any problems for anybody.
