In the Lakes District News issue of July 20, 2011, A. Richards wrote about the smart meters coming to B.C. and to our area.
I would like to say that I wholeheartedly agree with everything he had to say.
It is irresponsible of a supposed public company to make decisions which affect us and in which we have no say.
I agree that we should be given a choice to refuse smart meters.
I have emailed BC Hydro and will be phoning them as well to let them know that I do not approve of this new system.
It interferes with my privacy rights and it gives of electromagnetic radiation that I try to avoid at all costs.
I would like to encourage all readers who are concerned about smart meters to contact BC Hydro as well as to sign a petition at our local health food store stating that we want an option to opt-out of smart meter installations on our homes.
