Write letters to government

You know when you start something you can’t quit. Well I’ve been thinking of all the letters to the Lakes District News and it's hard to tell what the truth is.

There are so many reasons why we should be getting involved to try and get our hospital back in the hands of our local residents.

We've done it before and can do it again. It sounds a bit far fetched but not impossible as all we have to do is get out of the grip that Northern Health has on us and the rest will follow.

We all know the Burns Lake area has a small tax base, but we have a large area our hospital serves. Why would not the province not make this a special area we do supply enough raw material to support the people in Victoria?

Let's get some of this back. We are not getting a hospital yet. According to the hospital act we have to have a hospital because of the distance from all the hospitals in our area are to far away.

Now is the time to make our wishes known.

There are meetings being held privately at  the village office and the Regional District of Bulkley Nechako office as well as at other places but no public meetings.

I understand through the grapevine that there is now to be a meeting at the Regional District of Bulkley Nechako office in February.

Where is our MLA?

If we don't get his commitment I'm sure we can expect the opposition to step up to the plate and give us all the help we need, after all it was the NDP that got us into this mess. Maybe they can get us out.

Let's get into a letter writing campaign or a petition, whatever it takes but let's get at it before it's to late.
