Laura has worked for Black Press for 22 years – her career started as a sales rep at the Smithers Interior News and after five years of sales she moved to Burns Lake to fill the publisher’s position. Just recently she has also become the publisher for the Houston Today newspaper.
Blair is originally from Ontario and studied journalism at Western University in London in 2013. He spent several years working in Thailand as an editor and reporter before he moved to Burns Lake in 2018. He’s driven to find the stories hidden in plain sight.
Priyanka, came from Mumbai, India to study journalism from Northeastern University in Boston, USA in 2016. Before moving to the States, she worked for five years as a reporter, content editor and movie critic for a variety of publications including the Times of India Group. She freelanced for various companies in and around the Washington area until her 2020 move to Burns Lake. Priyanka believes in giving voice to the voiceless through her writing and is always on the lookout for stories hidden in people’s hearts and places.
