A combined Burns Lake atom team played in a Vanderhoof tournament recently to come out in first place.
It was a hard fought weekend with the atoms defeating Vanderhoof, Fraser Lake and Hazelton. It took four players from each team to decide the game, Blain Worthing, Spencer Brown, Alexei Rohrer and Nicholas Schroeder with Rohrer scoring one of the shoot out goals.
Cameron Peterson made some great saves and the deciding goal was scored by Schroeder. The regulation time two goals were scored by Brown, one goal unassisted and one assisted by Angus Fountain.
