Two Lakes District Secondary School (LDSS) snowboard teams have classified for the provincial skiing and snowboarding championship in Whistler, which starts later this month.
Approximately 150 youngsters competed in the north zone finals in Smithers last week, fighting for placings that would qualify them to advance to the provincial championship.
The LDSS snowboard girls team placed first in their category while the snowboard boys team placed second. A total of 26 LDSS students attended the north zone finals.
The provincial championship takes place from Feb. 25 to March 4 in Whistler.
