For the first time in Burns Lake minor hockey history two Burns Lake teams have won provincial championship titles in the same year. The Burns Lake Bruins bantams tier four team recently competed in a provincial championship competition in Mackenzie coming out on top with a total of six wins and zero losses. This is the second provincial championship scooped by the Burns Lake bantams in three years. The Burns Lake Bruins, peewee tier four team travelled to Chetwynd for their provincial championships also coming out on top with a total of four wins and one tied game against Kelowna.
