It's Kraft Hockeyville time again and the Tom Forsyth Memorial Arena has been entered into the competition that could ultimately result in $100,000 worth of arena upgrades and a NHL pre season league game played at the arena.
The winning community also receives a trophy and will be featured on a CBC television broadcast related to the game in the fall of 2012.
Communities from coast to coast are competing to see who will be named the 2012 Kraft Hockeyville town and it is up to the community to bring Burns Lake to the forefront of the competition.
To move the Tom Forsyth Memorial Arena up the Kraft Hockeyville leader board is simple. Just go to http://krafthockeyville.cbc.ca and click on the communities tab at the top of the page. Scroll down to click the 'Tom Forsyth Memorial Arena 'link and click the red 'join us' button.
You will then be asked to connect with a Facebook account or join the 'Tom Forsyth Memorial Arena community' via an email address and from there you can start adding photos and posting stories about why Burns Lake should be the Kraft Hockeyville town for 2012.
The more pictures and stories that are uploaded to the Tom Forsyth Memorial Arena 'community' page on the site the higher up the leader board the arena will be.
There is 227 communities qualified for the competition this year.
The judging panel will select the top 15 entries by judging each entry for originality, community spirit and passion for hockey.
Canadians will then be able to vote at www.krafthockeyville.cbc.ca for the top five between March 18-20, 2012.
