The Burns Lake Volunteer Firefighters Association held their annual bonspiel last weekend in Burns Lake. Shields rink won first place in the A event, Germaine rink took the fist place in the B event, and Schienbein rink won the C event. In order to assist the Lakes District Food Bank, which was recently broken into and vandalized, the firefighters had a collection bin for non-perishable food donations set up at the event.
