Team Babine were the only team from Burns Lake in this year's Skeena River Relay. They placed second in the corporate division with a total time of 11 hours and 42 minutes to complete the 140 kilometre race from Prince Rupert to Terrace. Mary Hawse was the fastest female in the last stage of the race with a time of 52:01 minutes to complete the 11.7 kilometre stage.This was the official 10 year of the relay and this year also had the largest amount of participants with 35 teams.
