Roller hockey is a pilot project that started in Burns Lake on June 13 and will continue to take place every monday until July 11 at the Tom Forsyth Memorial Arena.
Although only six kids showed up for the first day of the program, the village’s recreation department believes there will be more kids in the weeks to come. “People are still looking for roller hockey skates for the program,” said Dooseon Jung, director of recreation services for Burns Lake. “If this pilot project goes well, we will make a regular league for the players.”
