Bike riders from Texas passed through Burns Lake on July 17 as they made their way up to Alaska.
The 79 riders, all of them students at the University of Texas in Austin, are part of the Texas 4000 for cancer group which cycles from Texas to Alaska each year.
This is the first year that the rides granting has gone to a Canadian organization, as the ride is funding Young Adult Cancer Canada.
