The B.C. Summer Games are the largest multi-sport Games in B.C., bringing together young developing athletes from every region of the province.
While competition is the backbone of the Summer Games, at its heart are the spirit of competition, camaraderie and friendship, teamwork, and the setting of goals for individual and community excellence.
A team of volunteers in the Summer Games host community ensure that everything runs smoothly, from the torch lighting ceremony approximately 100 days before the Summer Games, to medal presentation ceremonies, to the sport competitions and the closing ceremony.
The 2012 B.C. Summer Games will be held in Surrey from July 19 -22, 2012.
