The future looks bright for Burns Lake's Beacon Theatre.

Dogs, dogs and more dogs .... and a few cats too.

The Bulkley Valley Credit Union (BVCU) provided the Lakes District Fall Fair Society with a donation of $1000 towards the 2011 Fall Fair.

It was a special two days for the graduating Grade 12 students of Lakes District Secondary School.

During the 2011 Relay for Life opening ceremony local resident Tammy Konkin announced that if she raised $1000 from that time until 7 p.m. she would shave her head.

Burns Lake has now been appointed a new staff sergeant for the local RCMP detachment.
