Pee wee teams from across the region compete in Burns Lake

Burns Lake hosted its second hockey tournament of the season last weekend. Pee wee teams from Houston, Fraser Lake, Vanderhoof, Smithers, Fort St. James, Hazelton and Prince George travelled to Burns Lake in spite of a snowfall warning to showcase their skills. Great early season conditions at the Omineca Ski Club in Burns Lake

Last week’s snowfall was welcomed with open arms by the Omineca Ski Club. Teaching youth how to ski in Burns Lake

Children between the ages of four and 12 will have a special program at the Omineca Ski Club this year - the skills development program, which is sponsored by Cross Country B.C. Certified coaches will be working with each age group (4-5, 6-9, and 10-12). The program will be held on Sunday afternoons from between 2-4 p.m., starting on Jan. 7, 2018. (Submitte photo)
